The spicy hen sandwich has landed.
A mission by which KFC, together with personal spaceflight firm World View, launched a Zinger sandwich into the stratosphere lasted solely 17 hours—far in need of its four-day purpose.
World View landed its “Stratollite” early due to a small leak in its altitude management balloon system.
The mission was partially to check the automobile’s altitude management and steering capabilities.
In response to an announcement launched by Jane Poynter, CEO of World View, all the mission’s check aims had been met.
And the particular passenger, the KFC sandwich, loved a short-lived journey to the sting of house and landed simply in time for Independence Day.
Whereas the mission did not final so long as World View hoped for, the corporate plans to “launch extra Stratollite check missions with rising flight period within the close to future.”
